Proofreading (single language):
Spelling, grammar, punctuation and hyphenation

Proofreading (comparative):
Consistency with content of the original language text, as well as spelling, grammar, punctuation and hyphenation in the target language

Editing (single language):
Proofreading plus style, including in relation to the target audience; if need be, logic and structure of content (specific focus as per order)
